9/27/2022 Ithaca, NY … Coach Schafer writes – I wanted to let you know that we are planning a reunion on February 17th and 18th, 2023 for the 20th anniversary of the 2003 team that reached the Frozen Four and had one of the best seasons in Cornell Hockey history. Also, we will be celebrating 50th anniversary of the 1973 ECAC Championship and Final Four team. While these teams are being honored, we welcome and encourage all alumni to return to campus this weekend, watch a couple of games and get reacquainted with former teammates. More details will be sent in the coming weeks. I am very excited we are able to have a reunion for the first time since 2020.
Current hockey news … In ten days, our coaching staff will be on the ice full-time with the players. Typically, we open our ECAC season with Ivy league opponents but this year our first five opponents are non-Ivy schools. Student season ticket sales have been going great and we look forward to again having the Lynah Faithful back in full force.
